NOTE
Measure the circumference of the head . (or at the
point where you will be wearing headband, it could be on the top of the or
around forehead).
This wil be how long your must make your headband.
TIP: Leave a inch or
two free in the back to allow you to tie the ribbon without the headband
overlapping.
This headband can also be made for older children or adults.
Just measure on the place your will be wearing headband....around the forehead
or around the top of head to the nape of the neck.
MATERIALS:

Hook E/4 - 3,5 mm;

Bbc yarn (the type of yarn will determine the
size of the head width)

Any type of ribbon 5/8 to 1 inch wide .

Row1: ch7. On the
third chain from the end: 3dc, chain 2, 3dc (in the same chain) 3 chains now
skip next 3 chains, in beginning chain, 3 dc, chain 2, 3dc in same chain.
In the first foundation chain, complete your next shell
stitch.
To go to next row, slst in the next two chains (to move over
to the middle of shell without adding height)
To move up to your next row.... slst into the first 2 chains
Row2 : Repeat row
1 until you get the needed number of rows.
Repeat
row 1 until you reached your needed length for your headband.

Ch 5 sl st to first ch to make ring.
Row 1: Ch1 sc into ring, ch 3, sc into ring. (formed
first petal space) [ch 3, sc into ring] repeat 3 more times for a total of 5
petal spaces. Sl st into ch 1 at the
beginning of the round.
Row 2:
[sc into petal space, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc.] All into first petal space.
Repeat in each petal space around. Sl st into first sc.
5 front petals made.
Row 3:
ch 1, working from the back of the flower, sc around post between petals. [Ch 4, sc around next post between
petals] repeat 4 more times for a total
of 5 petal spaces. Sl st into first sc.
Row 4:
[sc into petal space, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, sc] All into first petal space.
Repeat in each petal space around. Sl st into first sc.
5 middle petals made.
Row 5:
ch1, working again from the back of the flower, sc around post between middle
petals. [Ch 5, sc around next post between petals] repeat 4 more times for a total of 5 petal
spaces. Sl st into first sc.
Row 6:
[sc into petal space, ch 1, 7 dc, ch 1, sc] All into first petal space.
Repeat in each petal space around. Sl st into first sc.
5 back petals made.
Finish off and weave in ends. If you are going to attach the flower leave
long tail.
